i just took a trip over to one of my favorite sites for wasting a little time – CONFESSIONS OF AN ARCHITECT and discovered this latest quote from an anonymous source:

“After visiting ArchiFest exhibitions, I don’t understand why architects do themselves a disservice by cramming all their ideas on an A1-size poster. The write-ups are way too long to be read standing up and too convoluted to make any sense. So what you build continues to just be seen rather than understood.”

the last line really got me to thinking about how we, as design professionals “in the know”, view the architecture of our peers.  do WE understand our own work, for that matter, or are we all still stuck in “crit mode” spewing one driveling line of bs after another in some attempt at literary vanity?
